These sites demonstrate the long-standing presence of Indigenous people in the area, the early interaction between Tr\u2019ond\u00ebk Hw\u00ebch\u2019in ancestors and newcomers leading up to and including the Klondike Gold Rush.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pgc-1653-2-1\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-1653-2-1-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"5\" ><div style=\"margin-bottom: 20px !important; \" class=\"panel-widget-style panel-widget-style-for-1653-2-1-0\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p>Each component tells the story of subsequent phases of the relationship between Tr\u2019ond\u00ebk Hw\u00ebch\u2019in and the non-Indigenous newcomers who began arriving in the Tr\u2019ond\u00ebk Hw\u00ebch\u2019in\u2019s territory in the latter decades of the nineteenth century. Tr\u2019ond\u00ebk-Klondike tells a story of Tr\u2019ond\u00ebk Hw\u00ebch\u2019in experiences and responses to colonialism in their homeland between 1874 and 1908. All of the component sites, except for Dawson City, are on Trond\u00ebk Hw\u00ebch\u2019in settlement lands or co-managed lands.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-1653-3\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-has-style\" ><div class=\"siteorigin-panels-stretch panel-row-style panel-row-style-for-1653-3\" data-stretch-type=\"full-width-stretch\" ><div
